On publication of the Dead Image paperback Joan was interviewed in the online magazine Crime Time about Making the Switch from crime non-fiction to crime novels  

23 April 2012 Joan will give a talk on Crime Writing Fact & Fiction. 6pm Islington Central Library.

19 May 2012 2.30pm Joan will give a talk From Suffragette to Policewoman to the Essex Family History Society at Chelmsford

For excerpts from Joan's recent  talk on Scotland Yard's First Cases see the Spring & Summer issues of the Journal of the Islington Archeological & History Society.

Next in the series out in paperback will be Dead Born which sees Detective Sergeant Best boarding the ill-fated pleasure steamer, the Princess Alice, and fighting for his life.
